/// TERMS OF SERVICE

Plain terms for a simple app.

LAST UPDATED: 2026-07-13

Agreement

By using the HabitCents app or website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or website.

What HabitCents is

HabitCents is a habit and spending app. You log what you spend, pick a habit to skip, and the app counts what you kept over time. It is a tracking and awareness tool, not a bank, a broker, or a financial advisor.

Not financial advice

Nothing in the app or on this website is financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Projections and totals are calculations based on the numbers you enter, not guarantees or recommendations.

Your data

There is no account system today. Your data (expenses, habits, streak logs) stays on your device. You are responsible for your device and for backing up your data if you want to keep it; uninstalling the app removes the data with it.

Subscriptions and payments

Free features are free for as long as we offer them. Premium features, when available, will be sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system and billed by Apple according to Apple's terms. You can cancel a subscription anytime through your Apple ID settings.

Acceptable use

Use the app and website for their intended purpose. Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the service.

No warranty

The app and website are provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We work to keep things accurate and available, but we do not guarantee the app or site will be error-free or uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, HabitCents is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app or website.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. We will update the date below when we do.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
